One of the wonderful things about river cruises is you are normally docked right downtown. This was the case in Budapest -- and we spent the day exploring Budapest. We had been to Budapest before, so we didn't arrive a day or two early to explore, and spent the arrival afternoon exploring from the ship on foot.
Budapest is the capital of Hungary and cited as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The modern city is cut in half by the Danube River, with Buda on one side and Pest on the other.
